Raelyn Kaplan

Managing Director, MBA Candidate

Raelyn has always believed in the power of digital platforms to create real-world change. Before joining Joyco Digital, she was using social media to amplify voices, build movements, and turn passive audiences into active advocates.

What started as a creative outlet turned into something much bigger. Her posts sparked conversations that mattered, catching the attention of Lifetime TV, Refinery29, and even American Idol. But Rae knew virality wasn’t the goal. True impact comes from turning online engagement into real action.

Determined to figure out how that happens, she designed her own degree at Western Washington University: "Influencing Social Change Through Digital Marketing." By blending social psychology, digital strategy, and advocacy, she studied what makes people not just care, but show up. Working with international nonprofits like Points of Light gave her a front-row seat to what moves people, whether for a cause, a brand, or a community.

She’s put those insights to work: lobbying alongside Paris Hilton for the Stop Institutional Child Abuse Act, doing PR for San Francisco’s Asia-Pacific Economic Conference, and running with digital activism.

Now, at Joyco Digital, Rae specializes in social media strategy, short-form video, and community-driven digital marketing. Whether working with small businesses, nonprofits, or civic initiatives, she makes sure every campaign isn’t just seen; it’s felt, shared, and acted on.

When she’s not working, you’ll probably find her soaking up the sun, in a ballet class, or playing tunes around the PNW with her band.

For Rae, digital platforms aren’t just tools… they’re a way to build a better future.
